The longer Dragon Ball goes on, the more new powerful characters will be introduced. This applies even in Dragon Ball DAIMA, despite it being set before Dragon Ball Super. The anime has already introduced formidable new fighters like Gomah, the Tamagamis, and the Majin brothers, but they've now all been topped with the introduction of Megaths.
The main inhabitants of the planet Mega in the Second Demon World, Megaths are giants and the second-most dangerous species in the Demon Realm. In Episode 13 of DAIMA, "Surprise," a mere Megath child is able to hold an edge over Goku, Vegeta, and Piccolo in battle. Megath children are incredibly strong, and most Dragon Ball Z characters couldn't defeat one.

10 Android 18 is Stronger Than Normal Super Saiyans
Android 18 Brutalized Super Saiyan Vegeta
Android 18 may have beaten Goten and Trunks when they were little in the Buu Saga, but a Megath child would present a greater challenge than two Saiyan kids. She may have infinite energy, but she also has no interest in training at this point in the franchise. This means that 18 finishes DBZ exactly as strong as she started out.
Throughout the Cell Saga, 18 is surpassed by many characters around her. While she was able to brutalize Vegeta during her fight against him, she wouldn't even be able to hurt him by the end of the arc. Based on how Vegeta performed against a Megath child, 18 wouldn't even be able to make one feel her attacks.
9 Android 17 is More Powerful Than His Twin Sister
Android 17 Couldn't Be Stopped by Super Namekian Piccolo

The difference in strength between Android 17 and Android 18 is largely negligible. While he's stated to be somewhat stronger as a result of Dr. Gero purposefully limiting 18's power after witnessing how rebellious 17 was, they're consistently presented as equals throughout the Cell Saga. And it may have been against a significantly stronger opponent, but 17 has a worse performance in his lone major fight in the anime than 18 does in hers.
While 17 does appear in the Buu Saga, it's only for a cameo. Dragon Ball Super has confirmed that 17 was training and becoming infinitely stronger during this time, but this is never shown in DBZ itself. Based on the information given by the older anime, 17 would be as useless against a Megath child as he was against Imperfect Cell.
8 Android 16 Could Have Defeated Imperfect Cell
Android 16's Self-Destruct Technique Had Perfect Cell Afraid

Android 16 is by far Dr. Gero's strongest numbered creation. Whereas Super Namekian Piccolo and Android 17 are helpless in their fight against Imperfect Cell, Android 16 is more than a match for him. Had Cell not absorbed 17, 16 likely would have been able to kill the ultimate Android.

Impressive as 16's debut fight is, his strength is swiftly made irrelevant by the birth of Semi-Perfect Cell. 16's punches couldn't even phase this incarnation of Cell, and they would be similarly ineffective against a Megath child. His only possible hope in a fight against one would be to blow himself up, a prospect that even frightened Perfect Cell.
7 Piccolo isn't Able to Keep Up with the Saiyans by the Buu Saga
Piccolo Surpasses Most of Dr. Gero's Androids

Dragon Ball DAIMA is set shortly after the end of Dragon Ball Z. For a character like Piccolo, who's always training, he should be even stronger in the new anime than before. Sadly for everyone's favorite Namekian, this means that Piccolo, at the end of DBZ, would be swiftly killed in a one-on-one fight against a Megath child.
Piccolo's greatest feat in Dragon Ball Z is fighting evenly against Android 17. While he undoubtedly surpasses all the numbered Androids by training during the 7 years between the Cell and Buu Sagas, this demonstrably isn't enough to make a difference. Piccolo couldn't hurt a Megath child in DAIMA, and his DBZ counterpart would present even less of a challenge to one.
6 Future Trunks is on Par with Vegeta in the Cell Saga
Future Trunks Becomes Strong Enough to Destroy His Timeline's Androids

When he's first introduced at the start of the Cell Saga, Future Trunks is the strongest character in DBZ. By the end of the Cell Saga, he barely cracks the top 5, and that's only if one doesn't count the Cell Jrs. With Trunks not appearing in the Buu Saga, he falls even further behind Goku, Gohan, and Vegeta.
In Dragon Ball DAIMA, Goku is forced to use his Super Saiyan 2 transformation to deal any damage to a Megath child. Within Dragon Ball Z, Future Trunks can never even evolve past Super Saiyan Grade Three. With the large gap between these transformations and the fighters, Future Trunks would be lucky to make a Megath child acknowledge his attacks.
5 Supreme Kai Struck Fear in Piccolo
Supreme Kai Could Have Killed Frieza with Ease
Despite being present on Planet Mega in Dragon Ball DAIMA, the Supreme Kai doesn't even attempt to help Goku, Vegeta, and Piccolo combat the Megath child they encounter. This alone shows that Nahare is aware he wouldn't be of any use against one. However, it doesn't mean that he's weak.

Supreme Kai confidently boasts that he could have killed Frieza with a single attack. This is backed up by how he intimidates Piccolo into surrendering prior to their bout in the 25th World Martial Arts Tournament. He may not be strong enough to beat a Megath child, but he could kill almost any non-Saiyan in Dragon Ball Z.
4 Perfect Cell is One of Dragon Ball Z's Strongest Villains
Perfect Cell Can Regenerate Near-Endlessly
At the end of his eponymous saga, Perfect Cell meets his end at the hands of a ten-year-old Gohan. If he traveled to planet Mega, a child would once again kill Cell. He may be powerful enough to destroy a solar system, but as shown in DAIMA, ki attacks from smaller fighters have little effect on Megaths.
One of Cell's greatest advantages is his ability to regenerate near-infinitely. However, this power would be as meaningless against a Megath child as Cell's ki attacks. Megath children fight with blunt force, meaning Cell would be endlessly knocked around, not blown apart.
3 Dabura is Said to Be Equal in Strength to Perfect Cell
Dabura Can Turn His Enemies to Stone with His Spit

At the end of Dragon Ball DAIMA Episode 13, Goku questions why no Megaths have ever tried to become Supreme Demon King. Neva explains that they're such a laid-back species that none have cared to. This is incredibly fortunate for the former Supreme Demon King, Dabura, who wouldn't have been able to stop a Megath child from stealing his throne.
Dabura is directly stated to be as strong as Super Perfect Cell. With how much weaker Cell is than Goku and Vegeta are in DAIMA, he'd be lucky to harm a Megath child and be swiftly killed by an adult. Dabura's only hope would be his spit, which turns his enemies to stone, but that would require him to get into dangerously close range of the Megath he's fighting.
2 Kibito Kai Never Gets to Display His Power
Fusion Offers Exponential Power Boosts

Kibito Kai, the fusion of Supreme Kai and Kibito, is more of a gag character than anything else. He never fights and only exists to show how Potara Fusion works in a comedic way. Nonetheless, the mechanics of Fusion are well-known, and Kibito Kai should be countless times more powerful than Supreme Kai.

Dragon Ball DAIMA Doubles Down on Vegito Retcon
The English dub premiere of Dragon Ball Daima doubles down on a controversial retcon that undermines the significance of Dragon Ball Super.
By fusing into Gotenks, Goten and Trunks go from individually weaker than Android 18 to stronger than Super Buu. Given his lack of feats, it's impossible to say exactly how strong Kibito Kai is. With at least half of him already being on par with the sons of Goku and Vegeta, he could be as powerful as Base Gotenks. Still, Kibito could also hypothetically drag the fusion down significantly.
1 Vegeta is Weaker in DBZ Than in Dragon Ball DAIMA
Vegeta Doesn't Have Access to Super Saiyan 3 in Dragon Ball Z
In Dragon Ball DAIMA, Vegeta finally attains access to the Super Saiyan 3 transformation. He notably does not use it during his failed attempt to fight a Megath child, and if he had, it's possible he would have been more successful. If the same Vegeta who fought Kid Buu were to enter this encounter, though, he wouldn't have the luxury of this option.
By the end of Dragon Ball Z, Vegeta's strongest transformation is Super Saiyan 2, and he's still weaker than even the least powerful form of Majin Buu. As seen in DAIMA, Super Saiyan 2 Goku isn't able to do more than injure a Megath child. With Base Vegeta being slightly weaker than Base Goku in DBZ, it's clear that if he were to fight a Megath child alone, he'd be sent to Hell for a third time.
